Terms, Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy

Welcome to FoodPilot! This document governs both the terms of use of our application and how we handle your personal data. By using our Service, you agree to all of these terms.

PART I: TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the FoodPilot application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. The FoodPilot Service

FoodPilot is a web application offering personalized meal recommendations and grocery list planning based on your culinary profile and preferences.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Subscription Management: Subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations are managed by RevenueCat.
Payment Processing: Financial transactions are processed by Stripe.
Banking Data Security: FoodPilot has no access to any credit card data or sensitive financial information. This information is handled securely directly by our payment providers.

4. User Account and Access

Authentication and Access: Secure management of user accounts and authentication is provided by Supabase. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information.

5. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The Service uses AI provided by OpenAI to generate meal recommendations. We strive to ensure the relevance of results, but the user acknowledges that we cannot guarantee the absolute accuracy or completeness of the generated information.

6. Termination and Limitation of Liability

We may suspend your access to the Service in the event of a violation of these Terms.
FoodPilot shall not be liable for indirect damages resulting from your use of the Service.

PART II: PRIVACY POLICY

FoodPilot is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that data collected is used solely to provide the Service.

7. Collection and Use of Information

We collect and use data exclusively for the purpose of providing and improving the FoodPilot Service:
Account Information (Email, encrypted password) — Authentication and Service communication. (Supabase)
Culinary Profile & Preferences (Allergies, Diet, Aversions) — Personalization of meal recommendations. (Stored on Supabase)
Subscription Data (Status, End date) — Subscription lifecycle management. (RevenueCat)

8. No Use of Tracking or Analytics

We are formally committed to respecting your digital privacy:
We do not use any third-party tracking systems (Pixel, Tag, etc.).
We do not use any analytics tools to track user behaviour within the application.
Data collected is used solely to ensure the operation and technical improvement of the Service.

9. Data Sharing with AI (OpenAI)

In order to provide the best meal recommendations:
We share with OpenAI an anonymized profile containing only the data necessary for the recommendation (e.g., culinary profile, preferences, exclusions).
We do not provide any personally identifiable information (Name, Email, etc.) to OpenAI.

10. Data Security

We are committed to taking all reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorized access. Authentication and data management services are secured via Supabase.
